Activ8 Mind offers an alternative therapy approach for NDIS participants who require skills development programs but do not have Improved Relationships funding. This service is also available for participants who are on long waitlists for occupational therapy or developmental education. Our PBS practitioners can provide structured skill-building programs under the NDIS Improved Daily Living (IDL) funding category.

Who Can Access This Service?
• NDIS participants aged 7 to 65 years.
• Participants with Improved Daily Living Funding
• Those on long waitlists for OT or other therapies.
Where Is This Service Provided?
In the home or community (not in a clinic or office setting).
What Does This Service Include?
We offer four distinct structured therapy modules which have been designed by our highly experienced practitioners to support some of the participant goals which we see most frequently.
These programs can be adapted based on individual needs and circumstances.
Participants can engage in one program or many:

Conflict Resolution – 5-10 sessions across 2-3 months

Emotional Literacy & Regulation – 7-10 sessions across 2-4 months.

Social Play Skills – 5-10 sessions across 2-3 months.

Transport Training – 9-14 sessions, depending on complexity, across approximately 3 months.

All services are person-centered, focusing on collaboration and individual goals.
Activ8 Mind also offer tailored skill-building services beyond these pre-developed modules if required.

How Long Does the Service Last?
• Varies based on participant goals and complexity.
• The duration of the pre-developed modules ranges from 2 to 4 months.
• The service is ongoing until goals are achieved/ program completion.
Reporting & Documentation
• A skills support plan is developed after the first 1-2 sessions.
• A summary report of participant progress can be developed on program completion (optional).
• Be aware that this service does not provide interim or comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
Funding & Costs
• NDIS funding required: Participants must have sufficient Improved Daily Living (IDL) funding.
• Costs vary based on:
◦ The skill support program selected.
◦ Number of goals addressed.
◦ Participant’s location.
• Free 15-minute consultation available for accurate quoting.
How to Get Started?
1. Make an enquiry or complete the referral form.
2. Initial triage call with a Lead PBS Practitioner.
3. Service agreement and consent forms completed.
4. Admin schedules sessions and finalizes documentation.
