mEET OUR NDIS SOCIAL WORKER
Did you know that If you have NDIS Improved Daily Living Funding you can engage a social worker to help you overcome challenges. This might look like coaching and counselling to help improve your daily living skills, including doing things around the home and getting out and about yourself, managing your time, money and improving how you engage with services in the community. Social Workers also advise and counsel to reduce your emotional reactions and improve communication skills.

Masters in Social Work and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science (Public Health)

Over 5 years of professional experience facilitating community development projects, social groups and psychosocial education groups

Experience working with a range of people with various disabilities and vast socio-cultural groups

Uses an Anti-Oppressive, Trauma-Informed and strengths-based approach when working with participants and families

Strategies used include: psychoeducation, exploration of coping strategies, solution-focused therapy and social brokerage

15 year’s experience working across government sectors including individuals experiencing complex issues such as ADHD, Autism, PTSD, depression, anxiety and psychosis

Worked with those experiencing exacerbating environmental factors such as homelessness, addiction and poverty

Is passionate about running art therapy programs, anxiety and depression awareness workshops for at risk youth within primary and high school’s across Adelaide

Enjoys working with a wide age range of people from all cultures and backgrounds
